Job Description

Tremco Construction Products Group brings together Tremco CPG Inc.’s Commercial Sealants & Waterproofing and Roofing & Building Maintenance divisions; Tremco Barrier Solutions Inc.; Dryvit, Nudura and Willseal brands; Prebuck LLC; Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc.; Weatherproofing Technologies Canada and PureAir Control Services, Inc. Altogether, Tremco CPG companies operate 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites, and employ more than 2,700 people across North America.


GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Ensures that the assigned revenue, margin and product mix objectives, within the corporate business framework, are met or exceeded. This is to be accomplished by securing, developing, and managing key architects, designers, general contractors, distributors, subcontractors, and end-user accounts. This position will also own and manage all related performance and service metrics for the assigned accounts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to walk in customer orders and requirements. Counter type sales
  • Respond to all aspects of customers’ and representatives’ inquiries or requests (orders, product information, stock status, pricing, shipping information, samples, etc.)
  • Be point of sale person for all customers picking up Dryvit/Tremco orders
  • Account management including point of contact for identified direct customers.
  • Deal with customers as they walk-in and process orders right away including add-ons to orders.
  • Ensure all orders are shipped and invoiced promptly and accurately.
  • Keep customer and/or sales representatives advised of anticipated ship dates and any delays regarding orders.
  • Cold call by phone or other remote means prospects and existing accounts for potential new business
  • Obtain and continuously enhance a broad knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time and similar data as required relating to the business units being serviced.
  • Enter product or customer complaints
  • Follow ISO (International Organization for Standardization) required procedures as related to the customer service function.
  • Troubleshoot issues regarding pricing, tracing, and tracking orders, delivery times, product information and stock availability.
  • Suggest potential alternatives/solutions to customer concerns.
  • Supply MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) upon request and as required.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, managers and personnel in internal departments whose functions directly or indirectly affect the service level to our customers (to aid in providing exceptional customer service).
  • Provide prompt credit approval for point of sale customers


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management and 2-3 years of construction or industry experience OR
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of construction or industry experience


EXPERIENCE:

  • Four to ten years of related experience and/or training
  • A minimum of two years of customer service experience is preferred
  • Construction knowledge (i.e., waterproofing, air barriers, framing, modular, etc.)
  • ICF, concrete block experience or structures highly preferred
  • Architectural calls and presentations.
  • Basic knowledge of product chemistries.

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:

  • The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $85,020.00 and $108,400.00 plus a performance-based incentive bonus. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
